Hama Hama is seeking an Assistant Farm Store Manager to join their Brick and Mortar team!

Position Summary:

Hama Hama’s Assistant Farm Store Manager helps ensure that customers coming into the Farm Store find the freshest, most delicious seafood in the PNW at reasonable prices, sold by a well-informed, friendly staff. They support the Farm Store’s Manager in day to day operations, through seamless execution of Farm Store policies, clear communication with Farm Store staff, excellent customer service, and a strong work ethic. They are well versed in all aspects of store operations, smoke oysters and salmon, assist with inventory, help direct daily workflow on the weekends, and ensure proper product rotation of perishables. When needed, this position steps up to cover for the Farm Store Manager.

Primary Responsibilities include:

Work in the Farm Store: help customers, ring up sales, clean, and restock.

Prepare smoked salmon, smoked oysters, and other foods to sell in the Farm Store

Assist in managing Farm Store staff

Assist with ordering & inventory management

Ensure compliance with food safety, labor laws, and other applicable rules and regulations.

Requirements include:

Friendly, positive demeanor towards coworkers and customers.

Reliable attendance and ability to work on the weekends.

Previous experience in food service and food production required

Excellent written and verbal communication required

Able to take direction, and work effectively both independently and in a team environment

Flexible and able to work well with a variety of personality types

Ability to satisfy the physical requirements of the job, which include (but are not limited to): standing and/or walking for several hours at a time, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motion, exposure to heat and cold of indoor environment, and allergens including shellfish, wheat, dairy and common cleaning products.

Total Rewards:

This is a full time, year round, in-person position. Expected hours of work are Friday - Tuesday, 8 hours per day. Compensation range starts at $22 to $23 per hour. Position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses and applicable tips.
