Lead Custodian - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Performance Responsibilities: Lead for a team of 5 custodians in maintaining the school. Clean and dust and remove trash in all classrooms, corridors, and other spaces assigned. Maintain cleaning supply stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining spending within the custodial budget. Requisition of necessary equipment. Clean up and set up after nightly events. Report needed repairs, safety hazards, or maintenance problems promptly and make minor repairs. Must work cooperatively with teachers, students on the day shift, and other staff. Weekly inspections on all equipment. Secure and arm the building each night.

Maintain cleanliness and security of the building. Show leadership with a team of 5 custodians working 3:00 - 11:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Reports directly to the Facility Manager. Performing other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and Business Manager.

Job Requirements

At least five years experience in a custodial position with at least two years as a lead or shift manager. Possess the skills and competencies to complete assigned cleaning and maintenance. Ability to communicate and handle last-minute changes that may arise. Ability to positively interact with students, staff, and the public. Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 60 lbs.

The position is full-time and year-round. Salary is according to the Unit E collective bargaining contract.

At least 5 years (s) of relevant experience preferred.
