Experienced Commercial Electrician (Security & Fire Alarm Systems)
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician with at least 15 years of electrical experience to join our team. This position involves working primarily on security systems and fire alarm installations at train platforms and subways.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and maintain security systems, fire alarms, street lights and cameras
Rough-in and program devices for fire alarm and security systems
Run conduit from electrical panels to devices
Perform pipe bending and other electrical work as required
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Requirements:
Minimum 15 years of electrical experience, with strong expertise in security system and camera installations
MTA Track Training Certificate and OSHA 30 certification required
Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and irregular hours (working up to 12-hour shifts)
Must be able to pass a drug screening, including marijuana
Proficient in pipe bending and electrical installations
Ability to work in dusty, dirty environments (subway systems)
Compensation:
$120 per hour
Work hours can vary, averaging 50 hours some weeks, and sometimes 0 hours in others. Most workers earn $200k+ annually.
