Machine Technician CNC/Set up Person, training or experienced

Immediate openings for this position.

We are making wire springs in Pacific MO ! Compression , Extension and Torsion springs.

We will train you about the CNC machine and the materials that make these products.

Heated and Air Conditioned work area. Too many machines , my current set up person needs some help.

Tools used in this job, caliper, open end wrenches, allen wrenches, no heavy lifting .

You will have to be mechanically inclined. We will teach you a new career, if you want to learn and change your situation. We have women and men currently setting up these machines.

We are a job shop, not a production line. We have many repeat orders from steady customer base.

Attitude, Attendance and willingness to learn is all it takes!

Primary Responsibilities:

Learn to Set Up and monitor CNC spring machines. You will be performing in-process inspection on machine output, to produce a quality product. Execute regular and preventative maintenance procedures in work area daily.

Training :

Our usual training time is 30-90 days, we have many repeat orders and similar orders. These machines are not too common, but mechanical ability, basic math, problem solving ability , a good attitude and you will be able to set up and operate these machines fairly quickly.

Requirements:

1) Mechanical ability – previous experience with printing presses, screw machines, farm equipment, car mechanic , woodworking or machine tools will qualify. CNC programing will benefit your training , computer inputs are controlling the tool movements.

2) Experience reading a 2D blueprint

3) Dial or Digital caliper experience.

4) Math skills and use of calculator. All prints and work orders are in decimals, fractions are rarely used.

5) Must be dependable , communicate and work well with others

6) Background checked
