We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Podiatrist to provide high-quality podiatric care to residents in local nursing homes. This role requires an individual who is passionate about improving the quality of life for elderly patients, addressing their foot and lower limb health, and ensuring they receive the best possible care in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine podiatric exams, assessments, and treatments for nursing home residents.

Diagnose and manage conditions such as diabetic foot care, arthritis, peripheral vascular disease, infections, and other foot-related ailments.

Provide preventive care and education on foot health to residents, caregivers, and nursing home staff.

Develop and implement treatment plans, including ordering any necessary therapeutic interventions or referrals.

Document all patient interactions, assessments, and treatments accurately and in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for residents.

Educate residents and staff on proper footwear, hygiene, and exercise to maintain optimal foot health.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current podiatric practices and aging population healthcare trends.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited school.

Current state licensure to practice podiatry.

Experience working with elderly populations, particularly in a nursing home.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.

Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
