Apartment Maintenance - WEEKLY PAY!
Penn Apartment Staffing is hiring for several Maintenance positions in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio, as well as surrounding areas. Our recruiters are currently scheduling interviews to fill these roles. We are seeking Apartment Maintenance professionals with expertise in apartment leasing to fulfill temporary and temp-to-hire opportunities within the multi-family industry.
Candidates must have hands-on experience in a multi-family housing setting performing service requests, completing make-readies, must be presentable, professional, and a team player. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition. Troubleshoot and perform all necessary repairs to the apartment community.
– Troubleshoot work orders daily for residents prioritizing the service requests and ensuring they are completed in a timely fashion.
– Prepare vacant units for new residents ensuring that the unit meets the company standards/checklist.
– Maintain the exterior grounds of the property.
– Conduct walk-through of the entire property to ensure everything is in working order.
– Prepare for inspections.
– Removes and transfers heavy appliances and equipment from storage area to apartment (or vise versa) as circumstances warrant. –––
– Assists in moving abandoned furniture, appliances, etc., to a dumpster when necessary using safety equipment.
– Responsible for closing service requests, upon completion, as well as documenting maintenance updates.
– Maintains accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests (received and completed), expenditures, apartment make-ready status, work-in-progress, etc.
Maintenance Skills –
plumbing, electric, heating/cooling, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, drywall
Appliance Repair –
Troubleshooting and repair of parts, clean lint screen in washer/dryer, pumps and transmission, water heater troubleshooting, repair, and replacement.
Carpentry –
Proper use of hand and power tools, cabinetry, door hanging to include installing hardware, closers, hinges, drywall repair and replacement, window repair and replacement, shelving installation.
Electrical –
Able to replace outlets, switches, light fixtures, circuit breakers, photocells, ballasts, understand and use basic test equipment, knowledge of fire and security system operation.
Grounds keeping –
Maintain landscaping and snow removal equipment, snow removal and salting of walks, operate blower, operate and maintain lawn equipment.
Plumbing –
Basic plumbing repair on copper, pvc, cpvc, toilets, pump replacement, replacement of fixtures, valves, water heater troubleshooting, repair and replacement, ability to use and electric auger or snake.
Pool Care –
Filter cleaning, pool cleaning, chemical testing, knowledge of all shut-off, first aid, signage and pump motor repair and replacement.
