Electrician Journeyman

Kyo-ya Ohana is seeking an experienced and dynamic Electrician Journeyman to join our team at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. If you have experience with electrical systems and are open to a home in hospitality, we want to hear from you!

Location: Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Honolulu, HI

Pay Range: $31.69 to $39.61 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools.

Inspect and diagnose malfunctioning tools, equipment, electrical systems, and components.

Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.

Test batteries in generators and emergency lighting.

Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and codes.

Read and follow blueprints and schematics.

Respond to repair requests and perform preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and appliances.

Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies.

Physical Requirements:

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight

Perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination

Additional Responsibilities:

Follow all company and safety policies and procedures.

Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.

Complete safety training and certifications.

Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Qualifications for the Maintenance Technician include:

Valid Hawai'i Electrician Journeyman license required

Technical, Trade School, or Vocational School Degree/Diploma/Certificate of Completion

Driver’s License

At least two (2) years of related work experience preferred.
