Highway Safety Flagman & Lane Closure Technician

Traffic Control Solutions is currently hiring qualified highway safety flagmen and lane closure technicians for immediate, full-time on-call positions. These roles require the ability to work day or night shifts and may involve travel to surrounding states, including overnight stays at hotels during the work week.

The starting hourly wage is $20.00, with an increased rate of $25.00 per hour for overnight travel jobs. Some projects may also require us to pay prevailing wages, which can range from $50.00 to $100.00 per hour depending on the job site location. As a lane closure technician / highway safety flagman, your duties will include designing and setting up highway signs and cones to ensure the safety of our customers on the roadways.

Minimum requirements for the position include:

A valid driver's license and the ability to pass random drug tests (marijuana is considered an illegal drug).

Comfort driving non-CDL 20ft flatbed trucks.

Availability to work day and night shifts, as well as travel to various project locations.

Reliable transportation to our dispatch yards.

The ability to lift 50 pounds overhead and safely climb into the back of our trucks.

The ability to pass a DOT medical exam to operate DOT vehicles.
