Instrumentation Technician Paper Machine PM16
We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to oversee dismantling, troubleshooting, and calibration of instrumentation systems for paper machine.
This role ensures to have sound knowledge of process control instruments, sensors, and automation systems function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Paper Machine Instrumentation:
- Disassemble,calibrate, and maintain instrumentation used in paper machine operations, including pressure sensors, flow meters,
temperature probes, and consistency transmitters.
- Ensure proper functioning of moisture meters, thickness gauges, and tension control systems to optimize paper quality.
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic control systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and DCS (Distributed Control
Systems).
- Work closely with the disassembly team to enhance safe removal and packaging of instrumentation.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on control valves, actuators, and flow control devices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Technical certification in Instrumentation,or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of control loops, PID tuning, and process automation.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as HART, Modbus, and Profibus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&ID diagrams, and technical manual
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Honeywell PLCs.
- Knowledge of vibration analysis and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Understanding of safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA, NEC) and hazardous area classifications.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation, preferably in a paper mill or manufacturing setting.
Work Conditions:
- Environment: Shutdown paper machine.
- Schedule: 7:00 am to 4:00 Pm
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Payment terms: You will get paid bi-weekly on 1099.
