Field Technician (6 months fixed term contract)

Role Purpose 

To provide an effective support service to the SAF Brassica seed production team at Lutzville SAFAccountabilities

Representation of Syngenta work ethics

Equipment maintenance i.e.Threshers, Planters, Ghrops, Lettuce Harvester and Trailers

Stock/equipment - control management

Sowing of stock seeds for field productions

Setup and control of transplanting equipment, during transplanting season

Ensure plant health through spraying, rogue and cutting of flower heads and field trails

Seed production seed intake management/control

Management of pre-cleaning the produced seeds

Taking of representative seed samples from all batches

Packaging of seeds for export

Cleaning of production facilities
