JIA Asian Street Kitchen is Hiring Dishwashers!

Pay: $18 - $20 per hour + tips and shift meal

WE ARE SEEKING DEDICATED INDIVIDUALS FOR THE POSITION OF DISHWASHER TO JOIN OUR TEAM. THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE CLEANING ALL DISHES AND CUTLERY UTILIZED IN THE RESTAURANT, AS WELL AS ASSISTING WITH VARIOUS KITCHEN TASKS. KEY DUTIES INVOLVE COLLECTING AND SANITIZING DISHES, GLASSES, AND UTENSILS, SUPPORTING FOOD PREPARATION, AND MAINTAINING CLEANLINESS IN THE KITCHEN. THIS ROLE REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO WALK OR STAND FOR EXTENDED PERIODS.

Dishwasher Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:

Collecting used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas

Loading and unloading dishwashing machines

Hand-washing specific items, such as wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate china

Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand

Properly and safely loading and unloading dishwashing machines

Maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition

Deliming the washing machine and handling chemicals in compliance with HACCP guidelines

Placing clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated storage areas

Transferring or moving equipment throughout the kitchen

Utilizing sanitizer test strips and monitoring the temperature of all washing liquids

Sweeping and scrubbing floors

Occasionally cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and serving

Adhering to safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with OSHA and Department of Public Health guidelines

Requirements:

ServSafe/California Food Handler certification

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Familiarity with dishwashing equipment

Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment

Job Type: Part-time

Expected Hours: Monday to Wednesday, starting at 4:30 PM

Shift: Dinner Service Shift
