We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with experience in construction draw preparation to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of draw requests, and coordinating with lenders, contractors, and project managers to ensure smooth fund disbursement. The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction accounting, AIA billing, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

-Prepare and submit construction draw requests in accordance with lender and project requirements.

- Ensure all invoices, lien waivers, and supporting documentation are accurate and properly submitted.

- Track project budgets, costs, and payments to ensure alignment with funding schedules.

- Reconcile accounts related to construction funding, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.

- Communicate with lenders, general contractors, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve any funding issues.

- Maintain compliance with contracts, lender agreements, and regulatory requirements

- Assist in month-end closings, financial reporting, and audits related to construction draws.

- Monitor cash flow and provide reports to senior management.

- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline draw preparation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or real estate development.

- Strong understanding of construction draw processes, AIA billing, and lien waivers

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Appfolio).

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
