HVAC Service Technicians – Lead, Journeyman & Apprentice
RC HVAC & Construction provides commercial and industrial HVAC Installation and Service throughout the Denver Metro area. Lead Service Technician Qualifications:
1-2+ years of previous Commercial/Industrial HVAC experience
Refrigeration certification required or in process
Journeyman License, NATE, EPA II, Daikin VRV, Mitsubishi VRF certifications a plus, not required
Basic hand tools, refrigeration gauges and testing meter, oxyacetylene torch
Responsibilities
Job Management:
Excels at time management, job planning, staff utilization, material requirement planning, scheduling staff and permits/inspections. Completes work on schedule.
Understands all phases of projects.
Communicates effectively with office, GC’s and other trades.
Assesses and handles problems in the field.
Determines project requirements and plans required materials and labor in advance.
Strives to come in under budget while always aware of project bottom line.
Interfaces with customers with a sense of pride and professionalism.
Works independently and expeditiously.
Service and Installation:
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, startup, and install all types of HVAC equipment including: RTU’s, fans, fan power boxes, VFD’s, air handling units, make-up air units, furnaces, heat pumps, split units, AC, in-duct smoke detectors, etc.…. Prior firsthand experience a must.
Thorough understanding and experience installing and troubleshooting low voltage electrical wiring, and both 24V and pneumatic controls on equipment indicated above. Comprehensive mechanical / low voltage electrical knowledge is crucial.
Prior experience running and braising pipe.
Perform repairs and maintenance as needed. Recommend preventative maintenance and educate customers in the value.
Troubleshoot, evacuate, and recharge refrigeration systems both water and glycol. Refrigeration certification required.
Read and interpret, prints, wiring schematics, installation instructions, diagrams, and specifications for all equipment.
Read, understand, and install equipment based on construction prints and equipment submittals.
Produce accurate and timely redlines notating correct equipment locations.
Tools, Equipment & Safety:
Thorough understanding and ability to train on the safe use and operation of all power tools and equipment.
Takes responsibility and keeps track of all Co. equipment and tools including vehicles, ladders, gang boxes and lifts on site.
Oversees orderliness and cleanliness of jobsites.
Ensures Company, Contractor and Jobsite Safety Policies are adhered to, including proper PPE.
Requirements:
Minimum 18 years of age
High school or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills including oral and written communication
Good MVR / Valid driver’s license
Overtime and travel may be required periodically
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Regularly requires lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, crouching, climbing and balancing
Frequently lifts or moves up to 50 lbs, and must be able to lift and or move up to 50 lbs
Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy weighted objects including materials and equipment
Ability to work at heights on a ladder or lift, as well as access heights from a ladder. Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, use construction personnel hoists, and negotiate work areas under construction
Must wear steel-toed boots
May work in outdoors or unconditioned sites during inclement weather
Compensation and Benefits:
Hours Monday – Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Pay Range $18-40/hr based on HVAC experience

Paid holidays (6 days) plus
