THE JOB: Under direction, make minor carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs on County buildings and equipment; perform janitorial duties; and perform other work as required.
THE REQUIREMENTS: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain these knowledge and abilities would be:
Six months of full-time janitorial work.
Physical Qualification: Requires performing heavy, fatiguing work; climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and lifting containers, materials and equipment up to 75 pounds.
Special Requirements: Possession of a valid California Class C Driver License. Background Investigation: Fingerprinting is required.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work. Some knowledge of the methods, materials and tools used in minor maintenance repairs.
Ability to: Perform a full range of janitorial duties. Use standard hand and power tools utilized to make minor maintenance repairs.
