Opportunity Overview:

Location: This position is based in Central Texas. Candidates must be able to relocate within commuting distance of San Antonio / Austin, TX.

Hybrid Work Environment: Our client provides a flexible work schedule, with 2 days in the office, and 3 days working remotely.

Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with experience. Salary $160,000 to $250,000 USD per year.

Relocation: Relocation assistance will be provided for highly qualified candidates if needed.

Vice President of Engineering, Water & Wastewater - Job Description

I. Company Overview:

II. Position Summary:

Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Engineering, Water & Wastewater will be responsible for overseeing the firm's civil engineering projects for local governments in the central Texas area.

III. Position Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for the Vice President of Engineering encompass a wide range of leadership and engineering capabilities, including the following.

Senior technical authority and Subject Matter Expert for water and wastewater systems, including treatment plant evaluation and design.

Manage multiple, concurrent projects involving Wastewater pipelines, water pump stations, treatment plants, and hazardous waste handling facilities.

Supervise project workflows and oversee construction management personnel.

Develop strong relationships with current and prospective stakeholders, including municipalities and other local agencies.

Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing group of engineers, project managers, and support staff.

Oversee quality assurance and quality control to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Develop, implement, and manage pre-treatment systems for compliance with Wastewater regulations.

IV. Position Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have 10-20 years of experience managing wastewater civil engineering projects for local city governments in central Texas.

Position Requirements & Preferences:

10-20 years of experience in civil engineering is required.

Must have an extensive background in water and wastewater engineering, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects for municipalities and public agencies in the Central Texas region.

Demonstrated ability to successfully identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and experience managing budgets.

Solid leadership skills, and experience managing and developing teams are required.

In-depth experience assessing operational and process-oriented compliance issues is also required.

V. Compensation & Benefits Package:

Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with experience. Salary $160,000 to $250,000 USD per year.
