About:

Nathan is using the California DDS Self-Determination Program to hire regular staff at $30/hour and $0.67/mile, one of which can be a live-in aide. The live-in aide position comes with free rent and utilities worth $800/month. He lives just across the highway from Cal Poly Humboldt.

Requirements:

Need to have a valid Driver’s License and a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle.

Must be able to pass a LiveScan background check, which can be done at any local police station, which costs approximately $80.

This is a disability, neurodiversity, and LGBTQ+-friendly position.

Job Details:

Two shifts available: morning shift (approx. 9AM-3PM) and evening shift (3PM-9PM). Shift times may be subject to change.

The morning shift focuses on daily tasks and light housekeeping, with social goals being secondary.

The evening shift focuses on social engagement.

The position will be 1-2 days per week for a trial period of one month, after which (with approval) up to 40 hours per week may be available, if desired.

Live-in aide position available starting March 5.

Live-in aide position subject to approval after a trial period of up to 60 days.

Live-in aides will also get the priority preference for any fill-in shifts for staff who call in sick.

Need to be available every day at 9 PM (with notice given if you will be unavailable), ideally at 9 AM as well.

Live-in aide candidates will also work at least 1 shift per week as regular staff, in addition to live-in aide duties.

Live-in aides will be expected to assist in medication reminders and light housekeeping.
