Position Overview:
We seek a highly organized and motivated Special Education Teacher to support our Special Education students. This role involves various tasks, including instruction, student support, intervention data collection, and communication with the Special Education team. The SpED Educator’s job is instructional and provides direct services to children/youth with disabilities and their families, including but not limited to:
- One-on-one tutoring
- Classroom management
- Instruction
- Modification of curriculum
- Scheduling appointments and meetings for Special Education
- Collect student data
- Lead school activities involving Special Education students
Qualifications:
- SpED qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred
-Valid teaching credential or certification relevant to the position preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to a flexible and dynamic learning setting
- Passion for engaging students in meaningful, real-world learning experiences
- Proven experience with PBL or similar innovative instructional methods
- Strong understanding of project design, inquiry-based learning, and authentic assessment strategies
