About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant responsible for Home Lending climate risk monitoring, reporting, and analytics. This team performs various complex activities related to business analysis, solving business problems, and pursuing data-driven actions. This role specifically will be involved in climate risk initiatives, which requires coordinating projects across multiple teams, detailed research and analysis of current and historical disaster events, and developing reporting for senior management.The Credit Risk team is responsible for leading, developing and implementing strategic initiatives and processes to drive the company’s credit culture, risk appetite, and business performance. Also, the team provides analytical support on consumer credit, segments and monitors various credit metrics, and makes recommendations to management based on observed trends; produces performance monitoring and benchmarks regarding growth, mix, delinquency, losses and overall credit performance; coordinates production of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for senior management; reviews and analyzes trends in current population distributions and recommending strategies; works with business partners to provide analytic solutions and develops strategies to support or negate change recommendations.In this role, you will:

Lead complex initiatives related to data and reporting to support business analysis including those that are cross functional, with broad impact, and act as a key participant in data aggregation, monitoring, and reporting of portfolio metrics for risk analytics

Review and analyze complex databases, extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial data support to risk partners and projects

Create & manage the roll out of automated and dynamic self-service dashboards and reports developed to support portfolio monitoring

Make data and reporting decisions in support of complex risk exposure, requiring a solid understanding of business unit projects, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence analytic and reporting needs to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and regulatory issues

Lead projects, teams, and mentor.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Experience manipulating large datasets using SAS, SQL, Tableau.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the highest attention levels for detail. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate (both written and verbal) with business partners, peers and senior management and lead discussions.

Superior ability to identify, evaluate, aggregate, and challenge risks, while also proposing potential solutions to identified issues.

Ability to work independently with appropriate direction; ability to exercise independent judgment and apply prudent risk mitigation principles

Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas - both internally and external third parties

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thoroughly research and analyze options and impacts of solutions

Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and think strategically

Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships.

Knowledge of Home Lending a plus

Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
