Position Overview:
Everline Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook IIII, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with our resort's standards and ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction. You will work alongside a talented kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food items to the standards set by the Executive Chef, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner, maintaining the highest level of food quality and consistency.
Assist with food preparation for banquets, events, and high-volume service periods.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Follow portion control guidelines to minimize food waste.
Collaborate with other line cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Monitor food stock levels and notify supervisors of any shortages or ordering needs.
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
Ensure that all food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated (FIFO).
Follow safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume, upscale kitchen or resort setting.
Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and consistency.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and strong communication skills.
Culinary degree or certification is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
