PORTER NEEDED - BAKERY

Job Title: Bakery Porter

Location: Welcome Home, 1047 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn

Job Type: PART TIME - Monday & Friday, 10am-6pm

Position Summary: We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Porter to join our high volume bakery. In this role, you'll be tasked with maintaining a clean and safe environment both front and back-of-house, as well as assisting with inventory, deliveries, and general upkeep of the bakery premises.

Cleaning & Maintenance:

- Regularly clean all areas of the bakery, including the kitchen, dining areas, restrooms, and storage rooms.

- Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors, counters, and other surfaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.

- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pans, and equipment as needed.

- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling from all areas, ensuring bins are kept clean and organized.

- Deep clean ovens, refrigerators, and other kitchen appliances on a routine basis.

Health & Safety:

- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring that all health and safety protocols are followed.

- Ensure that kitchen and bakery areas are compliant with local health regulations.

- Report any health or safety hazards immediately to management.

Qualifications:

- Previous cleaning or porter experience in a food service or bakery environment

- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

Pay:

$22/hour
