Membership Consultant
Purpose of Position: To support the club’s sales goals by following up with new leads,
cultivating prospects and generating consistent monthly sales through the various points of
sales (online & front desk). In addition, this position is responsible for supporting Front Desk
implementation & utilization of proper operational processes with sale of memberships,
personal training, and club’s amenities.
This position will be accountable for the following goals & responsibilities:
Greeting/ Welcoming members & guests
Establishing leadership role in sales.
Meet weekly and monthly sales goals.
Being knowledgeable of all products and programs and building value in VP Fitness’s
services.
Accurately describing on-going promotions and services.
Developing and maintaining relationships with current members on a name-to-name
basis.
Performing all basic system transactions pertaining to sales, billing, and contracts
Operating Point of Sale (P.O.S), cash handling, selling merchandise and other
transactions
Training and supporting front desk associates’ sales efforts.
Pre-planned sales itinerary of daily/ weekly/monthly target market sales plan
uploaded to Club Ready.
Mandatory daily EOD of sales activities of current sales/ current obstacles/ sales or
operational recommendations.
Produce new leads for potential new members through individual or corporate
contacts.
Developing and maintaining relationships with current members on a name-to-name
basis.
Notifying club mgmt. team of any member complaints or grievances and assisting in
appropriate response.
Determining prospect’s goals and motivation through a thorough needs analysis.
Being responsive to member feedback and complaints and working towards timely
resolution.
Monitoring front desk and ensuring all guest check in
Clerical duties such as answering phones, accurately taking messages, inventory and
managing member accounts.
Requirements:
Experince and Educations:
Associate’s Degree or
Some College
2 – 5 years in sales experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients.
Ability to analyze prospects data to optimize sales efforts.
Must work well under pressure.
Understanding of basic point of sales and cash handling procedures.
Basic computer skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be flexible and can multi-task.

Competitive hourly wage. $16-$18 per hour
