Tour Bus Driver

Alaska Tales Whale Watching is now hiring tour bus drivers to complete the 2024 summer season in Juneau Alaska!

Job Type: Full-time April 15th to October 7st

Pay: $25-$30 per hour

Job Requirements:

Clean driving record

Class A or B CDL with Passenger endorsement

2+ years experience in driving passenger buses

Must be able to life 40lbs

21+

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform daily pre-check on assigned bus.

Drive safely along designated routes.

Obey traffic laws, safety procedures, and transit regulations.

Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations.

Follow a specific timetable while on duty.

Assist with passenger loading Communicate with employers regarding delays or any passenger issues.

Wearing of company provided uniform required.

We are looking for candidates who possess a positive attitude and enjoy working on a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Other job duties include delivering a narrative to passengers about Juneau and the local area, collecting passenger tickets while boarding at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, and getting passengers to and from the boat harbor in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate should be outgoing, hard working, and excellent at communicating.Some customer service experience would be helpful for this position.You will greet and load tour guests on the cruise ship dock in a friendly and professional manner. Attention to detail, excellent customer service, conflict resolution and communication skills are required for this position.
