Optometrist

St Louis Eye Care Specialists, LLC is seeking a family oriented Optometrist to join our growing team. You'll have the unique opportunity to provide comprehensive eye care to a diverse population of patients, playing a vital role in ensuring optimal vision health for individuals of all ages. The office is centrally located in West County.

This medical practice specializes in pediatrics and adult motility disorders. As part of our team, an ideal candidate would provide care for the whole family. Your duties will include providing children with their first eye exam, managing myopia, fitting patients with contact lenses and managing medical eye issues for our emergency patients.

We have a collaborative setting where you will work alongside a team of talented professionals, including experienced technicians, optician and administrative staff

This position offers full or part time with no evenings or weekends for a great work-life balance.

Duties:

-Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and diagnose ocular diseases.

-Prescribe corrective lenses and other vision aids based on individual patient needs.

-Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient history, examination findings, and treatment plans.

-Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens care, and the importance of regular eye exams.

-Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

-Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.

-Provide pediatric eye care services as needed, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients.

-Engage in sales of optical products, including glasses and contact lenses, while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.

Valid MO licensure to practice optometry.

Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and medical coding related to eye care.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.

Myopia control experience or willingness to take it on is vital.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
