POSITION OVERVIEW: The Center for Integrative Medicine (CIM) LPN/RN provides comprehensive infusion, phlebotomy, medical assistant services as a member of the health care team in accordance with the CIM mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures. Applies standards for professional nursing practice and focuses clinical care to enhance the experience for patients, families, and all others. As a nurse this position will provide specific care to assigned patients(s) throughout the shift, as required under the scope of the RN licensure.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Maintains and demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of nursing principles, practices, standards, and techniques and applies this knowledge in accordance with CIM policies and work instructions and within laws and regulations governing nursing practice in the State of Oregon. Assesses the patient’s condition and needs using critical thinking and clinical judgment. Calculates dosages and administers medications accurately in accordance with CIM policies and procedures for medication administration.

Participates in creating a healing environment that supports all aspects of the care environment and the wholeness of each individual, patient, and caregiver.

Provides a therapeutic presence in service to others by purposefully responding to the needs of patients/customers in a caring way.

Supports the vision, mission, and values of the CIM organization in all respects.

Supports CIM principles of continuous improvement with energy and enthusiasm, functioning as a champion of change.

Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

Delivers customer service and/or patient care in a manner that promotes goodwill, is timely, efficient, and accurate.

May perform additional duties within the organization, as required or assigned.

EDUCATION:

Required: As required by license.

Preferred: RN / LPN

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

Required: Current Oregon RN / LPN license. BLS/CPR.

Preferred: one year of focused intravenous nursing, practice support, phlebotomy, and other clinical skills applicable to position

Attention to detail.

Excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication and customer service skills, particularly in dealing with stressful personal interactions.

Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Basic to intermediate ability and experience in computer applications, specifically electronic medical records system, and MS Office.

Proficient in insertion of peripheral IV, drawing blood and administering infusions via peripheral line.

.Schedule Weekly Hours: 30 hours week with some flexibility
