Plastic Injection Molder Operator

Job Overview: Operate and monitor plastic injection molders to produce finished products and assist with general upkeep of the injection molding department at the most rad Splitboard binding manufacturer on the planet.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Understand and be able to startup/shutdown molding machines.

- Load plastic pellets into the dryer and molding machine.

- Ensure quality of parts by ensuring molding parameters stay within predetermined levels.

- Trimming of molded parts.

- Perform in-process quality checks and part inspections.

- Keep track of proper material mixtures for correct product and/or color.

- Maintain accurate production quantities and assist with inventory as needed.

- Identify and report issues to the department manager.

- Perform basic cleaning, maintenance, and servicing of machines and equipment.

- Assist with mold changeovers and mold maintenance.

- Ensure prompt arrival/departure according to pre arranged schedule.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery.

- High attention to detail.

- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Understanding of measurements and calculations.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.

- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
