Afraid of my home — holes in structural beams?
Florida, Fort lauderdale , 33301 Fort lauderdale USA

Hello,

I’m an underemployed law school graduate who has been devastated by a recent contractor’s greed. To save $0.02 of tubing, they drilled through THE MAIN STRUCTURAL SUPPORT BEAM OF MY ENTIRE HOUSE

I’ll give any licensed engineer or architect $65 per hour to discuss and $350 for a neutral, factual report on what the pictured holes, drilled in 75-year-old beams, mean for my home (and my litigation prospects).

Expert witness fees may also be available depending on whether what they did is okay or not.

HOWEVER, I will pay an engineer to tell me it’s fine if that’s the truth.

Text me with your license number please.

754-five five 1-18 oh four

Edit 1: found new holes! More beams affected! More than I can even photograph right now!

Edit 2: thanks to this community for many private comments, all of which were helpful, especially one attaching an infographic showing they should have drilled in the middle one third of the beam, not so close to its edge. very touching community! Builders, engineers, and architects now my favorite professionals :)
