Payroll Specialist
Description We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in the Construction/Contractor industry, located in Dallas, Texas, 75248, United States. The primary role of the Payroll Specialist will be to manage payroll processes, oversee tax regulations, and comprehend labor laws to ensure the prompt and accurate distribution of employee pay and related benefits. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Processing employee payroll accurately on a regular basis. Ensuring the exact calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits. Accurately withholding for federal, state, and local taxes, along with other deductions such as benefits, retirement contributions, and garnishments. Overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of employee benefit deductions like health insurance and retirement plans. Reconciling payroll reports and accounts to maintain consistency with general ledger entries and company records. Creating and submitting reports related to payroll, taxes, benefits, and other necessary documentation. Staying updated with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Acting as the primary contact for employee payroll-related inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing clear, accurate information. Keeping confidential and accurate employee payroll records and documentation. Assisting with internal and external payroll audits and ensuring compliance. Aiding in the maintenance and updates of payroll software and systems to ensure data accuracy and compliance. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required for managing and maintaining financial records. Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential for handling payroll and other financial services. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is necessary for efficient workforce management. Knowledge of Ceridian is required for effective human resources management. Experience with Dayforce is necessary for comprehensive human capital management. Skills in 401k - RRSP Administration are needed for managing retirement benefits. Knowledge of About Time software is necessary for efficient time and expense tracking. Proficiency in Accounting Functions is required for managing and maintaining financial records. Auditing skills are essential for reviewing financial and operational procedures for accuracy and compliance. Expertise in Benefit Functions is required for managing and processing employee benefits.
