Public Health Dietitian
The Eau Claire City-County Health Department has an opportunity for a full-time (40 hours per week) Public Health Dietitian in the Healthy Beginnings Division. The Healthy Beginnings Division provides public health nutrition services necessary to implement agency programs and collaborates with other professions and community individuals/groups.

As a Public Health Dietitian, your primary duties will include:
Promoting and maintaining the health of individuals and families within the community.
Assisting in assuring the effective and efficient management of programs and services that meet community needs, specifically the WIC Program (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children).
Assuring internal and external communication on key community health and organizational issues
Participating in professional development of self and others.
Serving in this position, you may also:
Be an active participant on interdisciplinary department teams,
Participate in quality improvement projects,
Work with members of the community through coalition participation, vendor monitoring, program outreach.
Minimum qualifications include:
Baccalaureate degree in Nutrition or Dietetics.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or Registration eligible with successful completion of the registration exam during the six-month probationary period.
Current Wisconsin Certification to practice as a registered dietitian
High level of ability to operate in collaborative internal and external environments.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Positive attitude toward serving the public.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
Public health nutrition experience preferred.

This grant-funded position has an hourly rate of pay starting at $32.99 dependent on qualifications. We also offer a benefits package consisting of health, dental, vision, and life insurance, matched contributions into a retirement fund, paid holidays, and vacation and personal leave.
