Internship
Canyon News is an unbiased newspaper covering all the hills of Los Angeles including Bel Air, Brentwood, Griffith Park, Hollywood Hills, Laurel Canyon, Los Feliz, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Melrose, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Topanga Canyon, West Hollywood, Westwood and Woodland Hills.
We are currently accepting applications for our Journalism Program from applicants who understand the importance of unbiased reporting in the news industry. We are accepting applicants for our Home Internship Program for the following departments:
Writing
Editing
Marketing
Administration
Photography
Social Media
Advertising
Each intern will receive a stipend, school credit, references and bylines. You must fully complete the program with a passing grade to earn a stipend for the program. All writers are published both in print and online in our adjudicated newspaper.
If you are accepted into our program, you will complete the internship from your home office or from our Beverly Hills office if we have openings available. Internship programs are either 15, 26 or 52 weeks.
Must be available a minimum of 8 hours a week. 98% of our staff has been hired from our internship program. Please be advised this is not a job, this is an internship training program for people interested in learning the field of unbiased journalism while building your portfolio and resume.

To provide a community newspaper that tells all the news honestly without any political agenda, slant or spin.
To allow commentary writers the freedom to express their opinions and views without interruption, censorship, or persuasion.
To provide members of the community (rich or poor) with the truth and a place to voice their concerns.
To abstain from printing anything demeaning, calumniatory or potentially harmful to any living being.
To maintain the highest level of journalistic integrity.
