Bartender - Ozumo
Ozumo, one of San Francisco's highest rated Japanese restaurants, is seeking a bartender to join our team. The bartender will be responsible for mixing cocktails and serving sake, wine, beer and other beverages for our guests and service team. The bartender must have a minimum of three years experience bartending in a fine dining restaurant and possess a good knowledge of classic cocktails, sake, wines, Japanese whisky and beer. Bartender must also be familiar with Japanese cuisine and have a thorough understanding of sushi to provide knowledgeable recommendations for our guests. Qualified applicants must be able to work evenings and weekends.
We are looking for a professional bartender who enjoys hospitality and serving guests. Applicant must possess a positive attitude and a dynamic personality and work well with others. We seek someone who is responsible and dependable and can provide a memorable experience for our guests. Benefits: We offer health insurance to full time employees (30 hours/week) with a 50% employer subsidy. Tips range from $200 - $300 / pm shift.
Qualifications:
Minimum three years bartending experience in a high volume, fine dining restaurant
California Food Handler's Certification
Responsible Beverage Service Certification
Thorough understanding of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, sake, beer and Japanese cuisine
Be able to lift 50 lbs and stand on feet for eight hours with appropriate breaks
