Long Reach Excavator Operator (Dredging)

18 years in business dredging company seeking a person with experience to run the long reach excavators: on the barge and/or on land, as well as help in other parts of the process. A CDL holder would be ideal. We need a person who can operate heavy equipment and maintain it. We are not looking for semi experienced operators. Please do not apply if you don’t meet the qualifications required.

Responsibilities:

Operate Long Reach Excavator. On Land: 60ft reach unloading hopper barge into dump trucks. On barge: 55 ft reach digging under water.

Maintain equipment (daily inspection and field service)

Be able to run a boat with outboards

Possibly driving a dump truck when needed

Pay increases to $26/hr after 3 months; 28/hr at 6 months and $30/hr plus paid vacation after a year.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in dredging or other marine construction/heavy equipment

Excavator operation (experienced/skilled)

Experience with engines and hydraulics

Work experience on the water or small boat handling skills

Current drivers license (CDL) and reliable vehicle for transportation to and from work

Pass drug test

Must commute daily to area/live locally.
