Job Summary:
Brist Mfg., is seeking a meticulous and proactive Receiving and Quality Control Associate to join a newly created operations team at our warehouse in Fountain, CO. This is a full-time position Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This position is responsible for ensuring incoming inventory meets quality standards and is accurately processed into our system. Our ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, an understanding of quality control processes, and a passion for maintaining high standards in a dynamic environment.
To qualify, we require 2-3 years of warehouse operations and/or shipping experience (apparel/retail experience is a plus), a work history where a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is an expectation, a Lean mindset to continuously improve and deliver customer value, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to operating systems and procedures. This position involves standing, reaching products using a ladder, lifting and moving boxes up to 50 lbs.
The hourly rate for this position is $17.00 - $18.00 DOE/DOQ, and benefits include 2 weeks PTO, paid holidays, medical, dental and vision, and Simple IRA with employer match.

Key Responsibilities:
Receiving:
Accept, inspect, and document incoming shipments for accuracy, ensuring proper quantities, item descriptions, and condition.
Unload and organize received merchandise for storage or further processing.
Record shipment data in inventory management systems, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
Quality Control:
Conduct detailed inspections of apparel products for defects such as stitching issues, fabric flaws, or inconsistencies in sizing.
Verify compliance with company quality standards and customer specifications.
Document and report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the Operations Manager.
Collaborate with internal teams to address quality concerns and resolve issues.
Inventory Management:
Properly label and store inspected inventory in designated locations.
Assist with periodic inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate records.
Ensure warehouse areas are well-organized and comply with safety standards.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the production and shipping teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
Provide feedback and recommendations to improve receiving and quality control processes.
Equipment Use:
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or barcode scanners as needed.
Ensure all equipment is used safely and responsibly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in quality control or logistics is a plus.
Previous experience in receiving, quality control, or warehouse operations, preferably within the apparel or retail industry (2-3 years).
Keen eye for detail and strong ability to identify defects or inconsistencies in products.
Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Forklift certification is preferred.
