Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Machinist that has extensive experience making forged wheels. The ideal candidate will have forged-wheel, lathe-turning experience for the aftermarket and military wheel markets. The primary focus is on wheels and wheel components manufactured from 6061, 7050, 2014 and other types of aluminum alloys.

This role requires a self-motivated, focused, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. The CNC Setup Machinist will be responsible for setting up a variety of wheel cells, utilizing 2-axis horizontal and vertical lathes. Experienced with wheel chucks, runout fixtures, and other wheel-related tooling is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Setup CNC Lathes, run through programs, and produce conforming first-article.

Works with Engineering, Quality, and Shop Management to produce conforming parts.

Inspect and measure finished products, comparing them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience as a CNC Setup Machinist.

Ability to read and interpret drawings.

Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.

Good communication across all levels in a machine shop environment.

Hours & Schedule:

Schedule: Day shift, Monday – Friday (8-hour shift)

Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
