Teaching Artist for After School (Part-Time)

heARTful Kids vets and trains teaching artists to help deliver quality arts education and enrichment in the Bay Area and we are expanding our team!

With a proven program, heARTful Kids helps children understand how learning about the arts is synonymous with developing strong character. As a Teaching Artist (‘Creative Counselor’), you will help shape children's creativity and character in a supportive community with access to an established curriculum that provides the structure and flexibility you need to make an impact and have fun in the process.

This is a part-time hourly contract position for the 2024-25 school year (with the possibility to extend for the following school year as well as optional summer camp roles).

Hourly rate is $20/hour to start and includes paid training as well as prep/post hours. The schedule is two afternoons per week in the Mission District at a partner school site for a total of 8-10 hours/week.

All curriculum and materials are provided. You get to show up, have fun, and lead with joy. The ideal candidate is upbeat, genuine, passionate about working with children, committed to the arts and coachable.
