CNC Lathe Operator

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operators for an immediate start in Pinellas Park, FL!

TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY!

PAY: $23-25 /hour (Based on Experience)

HOURS: 40+

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: Temp to Perm

CNC Lathe Operator Job Duties:

Create and optimize programs for CNC Lathes.

Sets up and operates CNC Lathes.

Occasionally operates other Machine Shop equipment.

Performs quality inspection of parts manufactured.

Optimize programming strategies to improve quality and increase productivity.

Assembly of parts manufactured, i.e., bearings.

Maintains clear record and documentation of programs.

Performs preventive maintenance of equipment.

Assist and train other employees.

QUALIFICATIONS OF CNC Lathe Operator:

5+ years of proven experience programming, setting-up and operating a CNC Lathe

Ability to set-up, operate and troubleshoot CNC equipment.

Deep understanding of turning operations, technical blueprints, and 3D models.

Proficiency in G-code programming.

Ability to program in Fusion 360.

Experience defining and designing holding fixtures and inspection instruments such as go-no go gauge.

Have knowledge and experience in cutting tool selection and defining optimal cutting conditions.

Must be proficient in metric system.

Excellent communications skills and teamwork oriented.

Initiative-taking and willingness to learn.

High ethical/quality standards.

Able to execute tasks in a very dynamic and ever-changing environment.

Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse workforce.

Microsoft Office Applications – Excel and Outlook.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CNC Lathe Operator

Ability to stand for extended periods – 8 hours min

Read Tape Measure

Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) unassisted if needed

Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small openings and climbing hand over hand

Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Must have reliable transportation to the job site
