Sous Chef - Middle Child
We are a local restaurant group comprising of Herbs & Rye, Cleaver, Morning News, and our newest concept: Middle Child! Middle Child is currently expanding to nights, so we are looking to grow our kitchen leadership.
At least two years of kitchen experience are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and direct all food preparation, from prep through service.
Maintain a clean kitchen and follow all state food safety and sanitation laws.
Monitor the quality of all food and all final dishes before arriving to guest.
Nightly inventory of all proteins (Beef, poultry and seafood).
Monthly inventory (to be done last day of the month and due on the 1st of the month before noon) of full kitchen.
Track, record, and maintain inventory stock including foods, beverages, and kitchen supplies.
Create/Maintain nutritional and allergy chart for all dishes. Train and inform all staff of charts.
Oversee repairs of kitchen appliances.
Hire and train each new kitchen staff member until they are 100% ready to execute full job area requirements.
Oversee all kitchen operations from open to close.
