Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Apartment Building Maintenance Worker to provide on-call and as-needed maintenance support for our properties. This is a part-time, contract position requiring flexibility and availability to handle repairs and upkeep when needed.

Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting

Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and property management

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance

Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC issues

Repair and replace fixtures, appliances, and hardware as needed

Ensure common areas are maintained and in good condition

Coordinate with property management for larger repair projects

Requirements:

Previous experience in building maintenance, handyman work, or a related field

Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair work

Ability to work independently and respond to maintenance needs efficiently

Must have reliable transportation to travel between buildings

Must provide a W-9 (Independent Contractor Form)

Own tools and equipment preferred but not required

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Compensation:

$30 per hour (Part-Time/Contract, Hours Vary Based on Need)
