Construction Assistant to Owner – Part-Time

Are you motivated, organized, and ready to take on a fast-paced role? I’m looking for a part-time Construction Assistant to help with both office and field responsibilities. If you’re proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn, this job could be a great opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

Perform area take-offs to determine material quantities.

Contact subcontractors for bids and scheduling.

Order materials and coordinate deliveries.

Track receipts and organize records for goods and services.

Prepare project close-out documents.

Assist with general office tasks (answering phones, filing, invoicing, and proposals).

Pick up and deliver materials to job sites as needed.

Maintain accurate project logs and documentation.

Support project management tasks in both office and field settings.

What You Need to Succeed:

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Effective communication and ability to work well with others.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF software.

Ability to work in both office and field environments.

Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Self-motivated and able to take initiative—this job requires problem-solving and adaptability.

Bonus Skills (Not Required, but a Plus!):

Prior experience in construction or project coordination.

Bilingual (Spanish is a plus).

Social media management experience.

Compensation & Work Expectations:

Pay: $15–$20 per hour (based on experience).

Hours: Flexible, but must be available when needed.

Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role.

You’ll be working closely with me, learning the business inside and out.

I don’t micromanage, so I need someone who takes initiative and gets things done.
