Key Responsibilities:
- Litigate and try employment cases, always seeking to recover meaningful settlements or record verdicts.
- Attend and effectively represent clients in Depositions, Mediation, Hearings, Arbitration, Trials and Settlement Conferences.
- Manage your own caseload, while using the firm’s case management software.
- Maintain constant communications with clients.
- Conduct consultations to give legal advice to clients.
- Report to the firm’s Managing Partner and attend (short) daily Zoom meetings.
- Manage and direct assigned support staff.
- Work well as a team player with group consisting of our intake team, receptionists, office manager, managing partner, and other attorneys.
- Create, develop, and implement case strategy.
- Stay informed about evolving employment laws and regulations to serve our clients best.
- Prioritize tasks by distinguishing between urgent and essential matters, ensuring that schedules are adhered to.
- Support our firm in achieving its goals by focusing on key productivity indicators.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in Florida, including the middle and southern districts.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law or a related field.
- Trial experience in federal Court is required.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Exceptional diligence, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ethical, professional, persistent, effective, and energetic characteristics.
- Ability to thrive independently and as part of a collaborative remote team.
