Line Cook - Hey Bear Cafe

Hey Bear! Cafe is hiring for the position of Line Cook at our bustling breakfast and lunch sandwich stop in Saint Paul’s St. Anthony Park neighborhood. Full or Part-Time shifts available from 6:30am-3pm, Tue-Sat. Starting wage is $17.25/hr + tips (currently $5/hr) -> $18/hr after 90 days.

You are able to stand on your feet for long periods of time and lift upwards of 50lbs.

You have a valid I.D. plus reliable access to a vehicle or transportation.

A little bit about the role:

You’ll be prepping for sandwiches, or making sandwiches.

You’ll be shifting to and from tasks often.

You’ll have recipes to work from, but there’s spaces carved out for creativity in food.

A little bit about Hey Bear:

We like to think that we do a couple of things and do them well.

Our menu is focused towards takeaway foods.

Our quaint li’l cafe is on walkable, bikeable, train and bus-able Raymond Ave.

We work clean and with gusto.

We feature a counter-service, first-come-first-served model with a kitchen in-view of the customer.

We are open for a fleeting moment; Tue-Sat 7:30a-2:30p.

We work 6-8 hr shifts though, on occasion, a shift may exceed that.

We are regularly required to see, talk, hear, smell, and taste. We also stand, walk, sit, reach with our hands and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch on a daily basis.
