Strong Line Cook/Chef

Shanghai Jazz is a vibrant and bustling full-service restaurant known for its creative menu and world class live entertainment. We're passionate about creating exceptional, unique dining experiences for our guests, and we're looking for talented and dedicated Line Cooks to join our amazing kitchen team!

What You'll Do:

Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and plating guidelines.

Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.

Work efficiently and effectively on a specific station (e.g., grill, sauté, fry) during service.

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.

Monitor food quality and ensure consistency in preparation and presentation.

Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.

Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

Follow all restaurant policies and procedures.

What You Bring to the Table:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Line Cook in a full-service restaurant.

Solid knife skills and culinary technique.

Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices ( ServSafe certification preferred).

Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Experience with French techniques and a wide variety of ingredients
