Part-Time Production Assistant for Small Food Manufacturer
Company Overview:
We are a small candy manufacturer located in Poughkeepsie, New York, specializing in the production of high-quality candy products. Our mission is to create safe products for our customers and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and compliance.
Job Description:
We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented individual to assist us in the production of our candy at various stages of production, from processing the candy, packaging it, and preparing for shipping. This position requires a strong sense of hygiene, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety. A ServSafe certificate and work history in food service and/or preparation is required. This is a part-time role to start immediately. We're looking for someone who can work 25 hours per week to start. We can be somewhat flexible on when those hours are completed. For the right person, this role could become full time, and/or may lead to increased responsibilities (with commensurate pay increase).
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the food production process, following strict recipes and protocols.
Ensure production and shipping is completed on time with accuracy
Clean and Sanitize the production area to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
Complete all required paperwork according to training and instructions given
Follow all food safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient production.
Requirements:
Strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
Hardworking, reliable, and a team player.
Prior experience in a food production environment is required.
Willingness to undergo a background check.
