Experienced Mercedes Benz Technician

MBI Motors is looking for an experienced Mercedes Benz and/or BMW technician, preferably with dealership training. MBI Motors has been in business for over 50 years and is the most well-equipped independent Mercedes Benz repair facility in Portland. Our company offers clients an alternative to the dealership once the warranty coverage has expired. We use the CDK (ADP) repair order system with the familiar technician screen as seen at the dealership. Since we do not submit warranty claims to the manufacturer, there is no need to keep track of actual hours. We perform 100% customer pay jobs and only keep track of flagged hours.

We have an authorized Xentry diagnostic tool that was purchased through Mercedes Benz. We update this tool on a regular schedule to ensure we have all the latest software, support and coding capabilities from Mercedes Benz. We also have an authorized ISTA that we keep updated from BMW with the same capabilities. We also have a multitude of special application tools purchased from the dealer. This opens up a window for a dealership level technician to seamlessly continue working on late model Mercedes Benz and BMW vehicles at an independent level.

We've earned a reputation as one of the finest Mercedes Benz and BMW repair facilities in the Portland area. Working for us is a great opportunity. The entire shop has 12 lifts (including a Hunter Wireless Alignment Rack that has just been updated last month). We have five technicians, two service advisers, two parts advisers and office manager and a car washer. We offer full benefits and vacation pay. Expected range of salary is up to $170,000 per year. This being calculated on experience and tenure. Salary is flat rate based on 80-100 hours per 2 week pay period. Hours of operation are between 7:30-5:00 Monday through Friday.

We lease a Xentry directly from MB, including our own portal for all the standard procedures you've encountered at MB (WIS, ASRA, etc.).

We also lease ISTA from BMW.

In addition, we make use of factory parts catalogues and boast our dedicated parts department! The level of cleanliness in our shop is unparalleled, and we take pride in upholding high standards, including the use of almost exclusively OE parts.
