Outside Sales Person

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. This role will primarily serve industrial customers in the metals and manufacturing industries throughout the Western Pennsylvania territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent relationship-building skills, and a passion for delivering solutions that meet customer needs.

This is a field-based position, requiring regular travel to meet customers, build relationships, and drive new business growth. In return, we offer a competitive base salary, and an attractive incentive plan.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Growth & Territory Management:

Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, targeting industrial clients in metals, manufacturing, and related sectors.

Build long-term relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.

Achieve sales targets by prospecting, securing new customers, and expanding existing accounts within the territory.

Product Knowledge & Solutions Selling:

Understand our full range of products and services to provide tailored solutions that meet client needs.

Act as a subject matter expert to guide customers in selecting the right products, optimizing their operations, and increasing their profitability.

Customer Service & Support:

Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and service delivery.

Market Research & Feedback:

Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to remain competitive.

Provide regular feedback to the sales and product teams to improve offerings and stay ahead of market demands.

Reporting & Forecasting:

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in CRM.

Provide regular reports on sales progress, forecasts, and territory performance.

Qualifications:

Experience:

3+ years of proven sales experience, preferably in outside sales within the industrial, metals, or manufacturing sectors.

Familiarity with industrial products and the ability to understand complex customer requirements is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong negotiation and closing skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Travel:

Must be willing and able to travel frequently within the Western Pennsylvania region (up to 50%). Travel requires very few overnights and is generally in the local area of Western PA and parts of Ohio.
