Biggs AG processor seeks Mechanic I for exciting temp-to-hire opportunity!

Fantastic 4 days per week schedule: Monday thru Thursday 6am to 4:30pm

Position overview: Performs repairs on equipment in a food manufacturing setting

Duties and responsibilities:

Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes and malfunctions.

Dismantles machines using hand and power tools to access problem and make repairs.

Removes and replaces working or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic systems

Able to follow blueprints, diagrams and service manuals.

Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair.

May repair broken parts, using brazing, soldering, welding equipment and hand tools.

May set up and operate metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder to make repair parts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of machinery operations.

Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot using equipment drawings and technical data.

Ability to maintain equipment.

Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.

Compliance to Cal-OSHA Injury Illness Prevention Program, Safety, Procedures and Programs

Food Safety Requirements: GMPs including Food Safety Policy Statement
