Shipping Clerk (La Verne, CA)
Compensation: based on experience, Employment type: full-time, days
A well-established company in La Verne, CA seeks an experienced Shipping Clerk. We are prepared to train the right candidate: ability to communicate, ask questions, and willingness to learn. This individual is not afraid to get dirty, is a self-starter, and team player.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: a practical knowledge in packaging products and preparing packages for shipping, organizing, planning, or managing shipment orders.
Shipping area operations
Inventory counts and account for serialized goods for shipping in the manner of “FIFO”
Stage packaged products in order that complete orders will ship together
Keep track of consumables such as boxes, tape packing materials, and order when needed
Operate forklift, a plus
Must perform other tasks assigned by the Production Manager or Office Manager
Aptitudes for position: strong communication and able to follow directions
Quick study while on-the-job
Organizational, time scheduling, and planning skills
Attention to detail, verifying details

Ability to communicate
apply elements of knowledge of the job duties in a logical and comprehensive manner
Qualifications: High School equivalency, Shipping Clerk experience
Must be proficient to read and write in English, some Spanish a plus
Must have basic math skills
Be able to recognize and correct any inaccuracies and simple issues
Must be able to follow instructions using detailed procedures
