JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: General Laborer

Department: Field

Reports to: Superintendents/PMs

A general laborer supports superintendents on jobsites with cleanup, organization, moving materials, special projects, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

To be an effective General Laborer, you must:

Be authorized to work in the USA

Maintain a valid driver’s license

Have/Maintain a reliable vehicle with current insurance and registration

Be able to pass a drug test

Be able to safely work on a jobsite with rough terrain and tall steps

Work well on a team

Be respectful to supervisors and other workers

Ability to lift 100 lbs

Ability to safely operate power tools

Willingness to follow all safety requirements

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

You’ll be ahead of the game if you have:

Familiarity with building materials and construction

Rough terrain forklift certification

OSHA 10 certification

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a general laborer, you will:

Clean jobsites

Off-load, move, and organize construction material

Check-in materials

Protect finished surfaces

Pickup and deliver material

Dig trenches/holes

Haul construction spoils and empty trash cans and dumpsters

Shuttle sub trades from off-site parking area

Control dust
