We are seeking a skilled Painter with experience in automotive or similar precision painting applications. The ideal candidate will have the knowledge necessary to complete all steps in the painting process, from surface preparation to final finishing.

Job Description:

The Painter is responsible for the full painting process of small metal components, with a primary focus on alternator housings. The role requires attention to detail, quality control, and efficiency in a production-based environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare parts for painting, including cleaning, masking, sanding, and priming.

Mix and apply paint using appropriate techniques (spray gun, HVLP, etc.) to ensure smooth, even coatings.

Monitor paint thickness, adhesion, and overall finish quality.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following proper safety protocols for handling paints and solvents.

Perform quality checks to ensure painted parts meet company standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve common paint defects (runs, fisheyes, orange peel, etc.).

Maintain and clean spray equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.

Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.

Requirements:

Minimum of one year of automotive or similar paint experience (construction industry experience does not qualify).

Experience using automotive or industrial paint application methods.

Understanding of proper surface preparation and finishing techniques.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistency across multiple parts.

Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect finished work for defects.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
