Construction Laborer – Residential – MRA (Seattle)

MRA (Miovic Reinhardt Associates) seeks a laborer to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a critical role in assisting construction teams with various physical tasks and ensuring the smooth progress of construction projects. Your responsibilities will primarily involve supporting carpenters, following safety guidelines, and maintaining a clean and organized construction site. Your hard work and dedication will contribute to the successful completion of building projects on time and within budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES
> Assist carpenters with their tasks as directed.
> Carry out manual labor tasks, including digging, lifting, and moving heavy objects.
> Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
> Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris and removing obstacles.
> Pick up and deliver tools, materials, and supplies using a company vehicle.
> Dispose of debris using a company vehicle.
> Perform demolition, excavation, and site preparation tasks under the supervision of experienced personnel.
> Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling and storing materials properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not used, and securing the job site daily.
> Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and under supervision
> Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
> Report incidents and near misses following the established reporting procedures
> Work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
> Track and manage an evolving prioritized work list while working independently
> Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the site superintendent or lead carpenter.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
> Valid Driver's License
> Clean driving record—no at-fault accidents or arrests for traffic violations
> Smartphone
> A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not always required
> Previous experience in construction or related fields is advantageous
> Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks and lift heavy objects
> Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
> Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is beneficial
> Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
> Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
> Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
