Adhesive/ Waste Treatment Operator

Operates and maintains all process waste equipment including: providing technical services with diversified procedures and specialized standards in hazardous materials and wastesEnsure that treated effluents meet all applicable safety levels before dischargeProduce Adhesive used in the MPS department with attention given to safety, quality and overall cost.Conduct adhesive polymerizations.Follow procedure for daily start upControl equipment and product by computer.Monitor and control the reactorPrepare the holding tankKnow location of quench controlsMake PVAMix DefoamerControl the Exotherm phaseTransfer adhesive into tanks.Take samples of adhesiveRinse lines and clean reactorPrepare totes and fill with glue.Clean out drum and tote linesTake sample of extract from top of tanks for labTake totes to weigh by scale and store in chemical holding areaMake labels for totes with batch #, Tote ID, Weight, and place on tote(s)Put empty monomer barrels and put into truck trailerUnload chemical deliveries, forklift operation.Manage adhesive inventory for coaters and outside customers.Maintain process and equipment cleanliness / housekeeping / sanitation.Record keeping, filing, data trending and analysis.Manage process of Raw Material Inventory.Perform some minor maintenanceBack-up Compounding / Waste-water functions.Perform and/or assist with Quality Control Testing.Perform other related duties and overtime as required.
